Staehly Tree Farm was started by Chris Staehly in 1985 as a choose and cut Christmas tree farm in East Haddam. The farm was expanded in the early 2000s with the addition of greenhouses and a farm stand. From there, the farm became a year-round working farm with crops in every season. In 2014 the farm once again expanded, this time to include a farm winery with a tasting room on Town Street. Hard cider came next, with its own dedicated facility on Petticoat Lane. Chris, Gail, and their son Kevin still run and operate the farm today, keeping family agriculture foremost in mind for all the branches of the business!
