- Excursion Ciders — Of the Farm: Core ~ The center of our "Of the Farm" series, Core is made with cider from an orchard in Plowville, PA, where author John Updike spent a part of his youth, then wrote his novel "Of the Farm" about his formative years there. Varying with the seasons, Of the Farm: Core is made with a blend of PA-grown apples pressed at the Orchard. The result is a delightfully dry, crisp, and thirst-quenching cider with subtle minerality and light apple undertones
